Set them free

These are my two lovely daughters...as adorable as can be...
15 and the other is comin to 13 pretty soon..
Just recalled a song.."When you love someone, set them free.."
Not totally. I love them, but must admit that its not easy to set them free..Looking at them has made me realize how important it is to cherish them, while they are still under your care.

No doubt about it. I was like them before (with a much more independent)
I was left on my own (as both my parents are working). Doing the house chores; cooking and even settled my own school's affair...during those times its different whereby cyber world wasn't implemented, cell phones are not invented. How do we get in touch with friends? Classic land-line telephones or worst still, calling from the phone booth (10 cents a min) and when you are unlucky, you may have to queue and wait for the person to finish his conversations.

But the most thing which I enjoyed spending during my teenage years was having pen pal all around the world! I had about 50 pen pals altogether and mostof them were from America...
We exchanged letters and wrote about anything interesting. We even exchanged photos of ourselves, and God knows what happened to the photos...

Sadly, I lost the whole box of my pen pals letters and till now, none of them has written to me...

Its a great experience to share how I spent my teenage years with my daughters and I hope that they would be able to do the same to their future daughter...
